Problems arise when the newlyweds have trouble dealing with personal leisure time and different values.

(Scene opens on the tee box at the golf course. Alex and Ted are holding their drivers waiting their turn to tee off. There is a head cover on Alex’s club).

Alex:     Well, Tiger, Katherine made a big deal about going to look at new sofas.

Ted:      Ouch. Now THAT’S insane.

Alex:     What really irritates me is that she knew I wanted to golf.

               (Pause)

Besides, there is nothing wrong with our old sofa. We cannot afford a new one anyway. At least not the ones she was looking at.
