• 2 life vests belt,

• Flotation devices (doughnut life-preserver, swimmies, flotation belt, flotation cushion, blow-up toy, etc.)

• also required:

•     an offstage voice or third person for the part of the captain

SONFLOWER:  (Looking at Sugarfoot in disbelief) What are you doing with all that stuff on?

SUGARFOOT:  You said we were going on a boat ride..

SONFLOWER:  Well, I think you've just gone a little bit overboard here.

SUGARFOOT:  Don't say "overboard".

SONFLOWER:  (Suddenly realizing her friend's fear) You're afraid to ride in a boat! Well how about that! I never knew you were afraid of the water.

SUGARFOOT:  I'm not afraid, I'm- -cautious.
